Established in 2000 following a collaboration between West Wales ECO Centre and Merseyside EEAC (now Energy Partnerships Plus).
Located in Mold, Flintshire and with an office on Chester Street, in Wrexham, the EEAC service covers the whole of North Wales from the Isle of Anglesey in the West to Wrexham in the East. The EEAC works in partnership with local Authorities and a number of organisations to deliver projects that concentrate on energy efficiency and the fuel poor.
Among the projects currently underway are:
Three Villages Project, a community energy project in the villages of Nercwys, Treuddyn and Llanfynydd, Flintshire, aiming to improve the quality of life of the residents as well as protect and preserve the environment.
Keep Well this Winter, working to ensure that the elderly and infirm do not suffer unnecessarily during the colder months. The campaign also highlights safety, nutrition and health issues.
Health Through Warmth, funded by nPower and managed by NEA, aims to train those with the most direct access to the fuel poor to identify energy issues and refer the client back to the EEAC.
The EEAC is located in the Town Hall, Earl Road, Mold.
