The ECO Centre is blazing a trail for low carbon motoring by being one of the first owners of the revolutionary Toyota Prius in Pembrokeshire.

The Prius utilises a hybrid electric engine which allows normal petrol motoring and, when conditions allow, emission free electric driving.

Jake Hollyfield, the ECO Centre Director, said "It's crucial that we do everything we can to promote good practice.  Air quality is a big problem, especially in Welsh towns and cities. Cars like this will make a smaller contribution to this problem than conventional family cars. Just as importantly, with improved fuel efficiency and the option to use electricity at slow speeds, the car does not make such a contribution to the problems of climate change."
