The education project is being co-ordinated by the West Wales ECO Centre and involved non government organisations (NGOs), in 6 countries initially, collaborating on good practice of delivering sustainable energy education in schools.
Brief details of educational resources, descriptions of climate and energy related projects with schools have been posted on a new education section of the INFORSE-Europe website. Representatives from INFORSE-Europe participating member organisations met on September 20, 2004 in Copenhagen to develop these online resources, immediately before the European Sustainable Energy Education Conference (September 21-22).
The project focuses on sharing practical information including the use of models, mobile exhibition units, and IT-based energy-education materials. The aim is to engage pupils with stimulating ideas and projects about sustainable energy use and also to develop European links at school level through these practical projects.
The project website is managed by INFORSE with input from ECO Centre's schools officer.
Download the report for the first six months.
The education project secured limited European funding to continue in 2005 so 3 new projects will be reported on the Inforse education website after December 2005.
