The ECO Centre runs two energy advice offices (EAC), providing free and impartial advice to householders across North, Mid and South West Wales. The dedicated staff are available to help you with information on grants and schemes. But more importantly, they can give you expert and practical advice about saving energy in your home. From insulation advice to programming your boiler.

In North Wales, the NWEAC is located in Mold, Flintshire. It was established in 2000 following a collaboration between West Wales ECO Centre and Energy Partnerships Plus to provide services for the Energy Saving Trust. The NWEAC service covers the whole of North Wales from the Isle of Anglesey in the West to Wrexham in the East. The NWEAC works in partnership with local Authorities and a number of organisations to deliver projects that concentrate on energy efficiency and the fuel poor.

The key services, delivered by trained and experienced staff, include the following:

• Free & Impartial Energy Efficiency Advice to match the enquirer's needs
• Advice on all energy saving, energy related and heating matters.
• Signposting to Energy Efficiency grants and discounts and renewable energy grants
• Referrals to grant schemes including Welsh Assembly funded Home Energy Efficiency Scheme (HEES)
• Information available on a wide range of energy related topics including renewable domestic technologies
• Presentations on a wide range of topics to communities groups and public meetings
• Support for community events
• Training to organisations concerned with Energy Efficiency and Fuel Poverty
• Support for teachers and schools

The Mid and South West Wales Energy Advice Centre is located in the ECO Centre's offices in Newport, Pembrokeshire. Prior to moving into the Old School in 1995, the advice service was run from many different places in the town.  It was formalised in 1993 when the Energy Saving Trust established its pilot network of advice centres. The MSWWEAC offers the same range of services as the NWEAC and manages some discount and grant schemes for its partner local authorities.
