ClimArt allows pupils to find out more about climate change and respond through art. All the pupils in the school engage in a collaborative process to design and produce a piece of large scaleart. We are able to tailor the 5 day programme to meet the needs of the school.

Day 1 Introduction to the work of the Eco Centre and Small World Theatre and climate change workshop.

Collaborative design process begins.

Day 2 Pupils agree design; decide on materials, location of the work, and plan the making.

Day 3,4 Making.

Day 5 Completion of piece. Pupils evaluate their work and decide how they will look after it.

Science workshops are slotted in around the making:

Foundation: How animals are suited to their climate and things we do in Wales to fit in with our climate

Y 3,4:  Make a solar hot water heater

Y 5,6 Design and do an experiment to compare insulation

Pupils also participate in a climate change themed workshop with poet Susan Richardson.

Here are some of our pictures of schools taking part. Click on on of the pictures and you will be able to scroll through them all using the 'Next' button. Navigation is explained on each photo. These pictures are © 2009 West Wales ECO Centre
