"Affordable warmth is a key objective of the Assembly Government's Fuel Poverty Commitment for Wales. I would like to see all local authorities set out on the path of achieving affordable warmth for their local residents, and engage with partners to develop a local Action Plan. We must work together to ensure that the people of Wales can look forward to a warmer, healthier and more prosperous future" - Edwina Hart AM MBE, Minister for Social Justice and Regeneration
West Wales ECO Centre is pleased to announce that it has received funding from the Welsh Assembly via National Energy Action Wales to work with local authorities in North, Mid and West Wales to create action plans to deliver affordable warmth across the region.
We are looking for elected members or senior council staff to become involved in the affordable warmth process and publicise the action plan amongst colleagues and peers. Any elected members who wish to become involved and ensure affordable warmth for householders in their area should contact Kerry Lewis on 01239 821901 or kerry@ecocentre.org.uk
