Welcome to the fifth ECO Centre Newsletter.

Some time has passed since the last one when we were in the middle of celebrating our 25th Anniversary. A full report of this can be found at:

http://www.ecocentre.org.uk/report-of-jubilee-week.html

Subsequent to these events we were pleased to officially open our refurbished Information Centre. Rhodri Morgan AM, First Minister of the Welsh Assembly duly obliged. We also had the chance to press him about our concerns regarding the Assembly Government's track record on implementing its own strategies regards

sustainable energy. More about this at:

http://www.ecocentre.org.uk/first-minister-opens-information-centre.html

We have successfully drawn down funding to continue our innovative 'Energy for Tomorrow' project, which seeks to promote community level renewable energy projects in Pembrokeshire. This is especially rewarding bearing in mind the successes of phase 1 and the complete lack of central government support for renewable activityn of this kind in Wales.  More can be read at:

We are currently recruiting a renewable energy project officer. Details at:

http://www.ecocentre.org.uk/current-vacancies.html

Deadline for this post is 25th September.

We have now made it possible to donate to the ECO Centre via the website. If you have found our resources useful, or you support the aims and objectives of the charity and want to help us continue, you can donate using the facility set up by the Charities Aid Foundation at:

http://www.ecocentre.org.uk/why-donate.html

We are hoping to make some new design changes to the Website in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for them. We aim to make it even more useful and worth returning on a regular basis.

Thanks again for your support.

The West Wales ECO Centre Team.
